About Me

When my last career step paled, I took early retirement from teaching and needed some sort of new goal. Having done a bit of writing before as a reporter and business woman, I selected novel-writing as a challenge, never realizing the difficulties involved. I charged into the world of writing with both feet. Now, I freely admit it's the most difficult, yet satisfying, career of my life.

Clan Gunn: Gerek

A historical romantic adventure, set in 1650 Scotland during the time of the War of the Covenant (Bishop's War). Along with excellent reviews, the novel received the Scribe's World Reviewer's Choice Award, won the Love Romances Best Award in two categories (Best Historical Romance and Best e-romance!), became a finalist in the Ohio Valley RW Chapter's Notable New Author Award contest and in the RWA Holt Medallion. It is now the first of the Scottish Heritage Series.
